At the beginning of 2015 The Almshouse Tempera Project brought together a diverse group of contemporary artists to make artworks using one of painting’s traditional and today seldom used mediums – egg tempera, to create representations of similarly disregarded parts of the urban landscape, almshouses, the earliest form of social housing. The project culminated in an exhibition in Nottingham Trent University’s Bonington Gallery, Atrium Space. The work is documented in the project publication: Inscriptions.
